According to a recent market study conducted by Deloitte, alternative cannabis products in Canada could be worth an estimated $2.7 billion annually. These products include edibles and products such as cannabis infused beverages, topicals and concentrates.
The markets growth will be metered by the implementation of the new regulations, as companies satisfy regulations and ramp up production. Companies creating this market have a substantial opportunity for growth.
Cannabis was legalized in Canada on October 17, 2018, and further regulations governing various cannabis products such as edibles and topicals will come into force on October 17, 2019.
